Marc Shaiman (Composer and Co-Lyricist)
Marc Shaiman is a composer/lyricist/arranger/performer working in films, television, musical theater, and recordings. He has won a Tony, an Emmy, a Grammy, and has garnered seven Oscar nominations.
For Mary Poppins Returns he was nominated for two Oscars, a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy. His other Oscar nominations have been for Sleepless In Seattle, Patch Adams, The First Wives Club, The American President, and South Park-Bigger, Longer & Uncut. He and Mariah Carey were nominated for a Golden Globe for their title song for the animated film The Star. Other film credits include Beaches, When Harry Met Sally, City Slickers, The Addams Family, Sister Act, A Few Good Men, Hocus Pocus, Hocus Pocus 2, The Bucket List, Hairspray, and Bros.
Currently represented on Broadway with Some Like It Hot, his other Broadway credits with co-lyricist Scott Wittman are Hairspray (Tony & Grammy Awards), Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, Catch Me If You Can (Tony nom) and Charlie & The Chocolate Factory.
Television credits include Saturday Night Live (Emmy and Golden Globe nom), Smash (Emmy & Golden Globe nom), The Oscars with Billy Crystal (Emmy Award), Bette Midler (final Emmy winning guest on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson), Rogers: The Musical for Marvel/Disney+'s Hawkeye, and countless appearances with Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Lane, Jennifer Hudson, Jack Black, & Will Ferrell, among many others.
He has produced/arranged recordings and performances for Bette Midler, Harry Connick Jr., Peter Allen, Eric Clapton, Diane Keaton, Patti LuPone, Steve Martin, Barbra Streisand, Robin Williams, and many more. His online opus Prop 8 - The Musical was a Webbie Award winner.
Bryan Carter (co-orchestrator)
Bryan Carter (he/him) is a drummer, vocalist, composer, and orchestrator within the worlds of touring, film, television, and broadway. His credits include Broadway: Some Like It Hot (orchestrations) and A Strange Loop (additional orchestrations). Chloe Geller (Music Assistant)
Chloe Geller is a music assistant, music director, and composer based in New York City. She made her Broadway debut as the music assistant on Some Like It Hot last fall. Her other music assistant credits include: INTERMISSION (Tom Kitt and Jerry Zucker, NYC Developmental Workshop), The Lunchbox (The Lazours and Ritesh Batra, Lincoln Center Theater), Muriel’s Wedding (P.J. Hogan, Kate Miller-Hiedke and Keir Nuttall, NYC Developmental Lab), MYTHIC(Oran Eldor and Marcus Stevens, NYC Developmental Workshop) and Broadway Backwards 2022/2023. Geller is one of the winners of Write Out Loud 2021, Taylor Louderman and Ben Rauhala’s musical theatre songwriting contest for emerging writers. Her song “Pity Party” featuring Christy Altomare is available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music. Geller’s work has been performed in concert at Feinstein’s/54 Below and The Green Room 42. She is currently a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. Graduate of NYU Steinhardt and Interlochen Arts Academy.
Samuel Hoad (Score Associate)
Samuel Hoad is a Broadway and film music producer, composer, editor, and copyist currently based in New York. Since November 2018, he has served as Music Associate to the award-winning composer and lyricist Marc Shaiman. In this role, Samuel has collaborated on a variety of film and theatrical productions, most recently the NYT Critic's pick SOME LIKE IT HOT on Broadway, the Universal Pictures film BROS, the 2022 Broadway revival of PLAZA SUITE, and the Disney+ series HAWKEYE. Samuel has also contributed his musical expertise to several television projects with Apple TV+, BBC, Disney+, and HBO Max.
Before moving to New York, Samuel worked in the music department of various West End productions, most notably the world premiere of TINA: THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL in London and the National Theatre's Olivier award-winning production of Stephen Sondheim's FOLLIES. Throughout his career, Samuel has had the opportunity to collaborate with numerous renowned composers and orchestrators, including Jeff Atmajian, Nicholas Skilbeck, Doug Besterman, Charlie Rosen, Bryan Carter, Ethan Popp, and Jeanine Tesori.
Originally from the UK, Samuel holds a Master's degree in Music Composition from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales.

Scott M. Riesett is a Grammy nominated Music Producer for television, film and Broadway theater. His television credits include Marvel's HAWKEYE on Disney+, SCHMIGADOON! on AppleTV+, THE PRINCE and GOSSIP GIRL on HBO MAX, RISE on NBC, the Emmy Award winning HAIRSPRAY LIVE! on NBC and GREASE LIVE on FOX, and the Emmy Award winning and Grammy nominated SMASH on NBC. Recent film credits include BROS, MARY POPPINS RETURNS, and THE STAR. His Broadway work includes producing cast recordings for the upcoming ALMOST FAMOUS, the Tony Award winning and Grammy-nominated AIN'T TOO PROUD (Grammy Nomination), Tony Award-nominated THE PROM, and Broadway and West End productions of CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, among others. Other album work includes collaborations with Harry Connick, Jr., Mariah Carey, and Bette Midler.

Alejandro Senior (Music Apprentice)
Alejandro is a music director from the Dominican Republic based out of New York City. He's a graduate of the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. He's spent the last 6 years serving on the music team for Transcendence Theater Company in Sonoma, California. Transcendence has allowed Alejandro to work with incredible Broadway Performers including Vasthy Mompoint (Ghost, Spongebob), Leslie McDonnel (American Idiot, Hairspray), Felicia Finley (Smokey Joes), and so many others! He's an arranger, orchestrator, pianist, and vocalist. He's currently working on the new Broadway Musical SOME LIKE IT HOT and BCEFA’s Broadway Backwards! Alejandro will also be joining the music team for NYC Center’s Spring 2023 production of Oliver!
Ed Windels: moderator
Ed Windels (he/him) is a composer of concert works across all genres, as well as an orchestrator and arranger in the musical theater world, of which he is a passionate admirer. He is also an advocate for artists with day jobs, or “5 to 9 artists.” Ed is a co-founder and co-producer of Broadway Belts for PFF!, an annual fundraiser for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation featuring celebrated Broadway talent, and co-founder and executive member of the New York branch of the American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers.
